Specifically, in<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>New experimental paradigms, signal processing techniques, machine learning procedures, and control policies to generate adaptive, robotic gait-patterns.<\/li>\n<li>Development of a self-learning controller for exoskeletons that optimizes the human-robot interaction to achieve a human-like, efficient, assisted locomotion.<\/li>\n<li>Application to the assisted locomotion of spinal cord injury patients.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This work is part of a national research project, and it will be carried out within a proactive group \u00e2\u20ac\u201cleading world-class research on Rehabilitative and Assistive Robotics\u00e2\u20ac\u201c in a prestigious neuroscience institute.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Candidate profile:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Candidates must have an outstanding academic record and a University degree in one of the following specialties: Computer science, Telecommunications Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics.<\/p>\n<p>The profile of the candidate should cover as much as possible the following distinctive features:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong background on one or some of the following techniques: Machine Learning \u00e2\u20ac\u201c Pattern Recognition, Automation &amp; Intelligent Control, and Soft computing.<\/li>\n<li>Programming experience in MATLAB\u00c2\u00a9<\/li>\n<li>High motivation for research, originality and initiative<\/li>\n<li>Fluent in English, or fluent in Spanish plus good written and verbal communication skills in English.<\/li>\n<li>Good interpersonal communication skills.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Additional expertise in Digital Signal Processing, Statistics, System Modeling, and Measurement &amp; Instrumentation will be valued.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application procedure:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Interested applicants should send their resume by e-mail to<\/p>\n<p>L.J.
